Predator BK2 Question

The Predator BK2 came out in 2005. From what I've heard, Predator started moving manufacturing overseas in 2006. Predator shafts and P2s were made in Jacksonville, FL and Falcon in Canadia made the 4K cue series and Sneaky Petes prior to the manufacturing move. Not sure if Falcon also made the BK2s, but they were made in 2005 prior to the move.
How can you distinguish the BK2s that were made overseas from the ones that were in North America? Were there any significant differences?

Obviously the Sport Grip BK2s were made overseas, since those came out after 2006. Are there any other features? Does the BK2 have serial numbers on the uniloc pins and joint inserts?
 
I could be wrong but from what I hear those made in the states has the word "Predator" engraved on the Pin while those made in China has the predator logo engraved.

Anyone else can confirm this?

I think I have an old one, but cant confirm, which is why I started this thread. The pin has no inscription at all, neither does the quick release insert. I think the newer ones have a threaded bumper, while mine doesnt. Looking to see what other differences there are...any Predator Experts out there?
 
Hmmm...ok..I'll be heading to the pool hall in a bit and I'll take pictures of both my friends cue and post it here.
 
anyone else know if there are any differences? Can someone with a BK2 describe theirs? Inscription on pin/insert or not? Threaded bumper or not?

I have a wrapless BK2 and it has the predator logo and a 6 digit number engraved on the uni-loc pin if that helps.

i made a mistake when i say that the word "Predator" is engraved on U.S made version of BK2, i meant to say the logo "U" that signifies Uniloc.
Unfortunately both the BK2 my friends use are supposedly pre-china manufactured so that both spot the "U" logo.

Here's a picture.

It's a little blur but you can see the "U" logo on it as opposed to current versions where the Predator Logo is engraved.

Again i could be wrong or misguided but this is what i got from my buddies.
 
thanks guys, that is two different stories about the engraved pin.

jive, I think the picture you posted is of a BK2 post move overseas. That UL UniLoc Logo wasnt around back in 2005 or 2006 I believe, the logo came out around the time their website came up 2008.

I think the overseas ones have engraved quick release pins with either the uni-loc logo or the predator logo.
The one I got, back in 2007 from here on AZ, as I think it was NOS (New Old Stock), didnt have engraving.
