What's the difference other than the look?
The price difference is almost 100$.
Can someone who has tried both please explain the difference?

Yes, the specs, but I'm asking if there's anyone who has tried both to tell me if they feel too different and what the differences are...

I have tried both

With limited use of bk3. Bk2 is my break cue

I found bk3 to be a harder hit, little less natural of a hit ; more phenolic in nature

Bk2 really almost feels like a normal cue, you could even shoot a rack with it
Bk3 less so

In terms of better. I'm still unsure
Bk3 looks way better though

Similar to above, BK2 is normal break cue and have tried BK3 a few dozen times. I do like it a bit better but not enough to spend the extra money and abandon mine. Different shaft technology I think.

Only other issue is right now they are only available wrapless, wrap and sport wrap versions due out later this year due to production issues.

It is up to each person to work out their own salvation. Yeah, I do the same thing, I try to get a consensus of opinion before spending my dough but it really boils down to your particular abilities and preferences.

I have a BK2 with an ODEGA break tip on it and have purchased a BreakRak and the learning of different breaking techniques have helped improve my break along with the extra practice even though I love the way my BK2 is hitting with the ODEGA break tip, I think my improvement has more to do with the study and practice of breaking.

One suggestion for improving your break, is to practice your timing. Coordinating your body is a unique thing and I have people who break far faster than myself tell me how they do it and just for the record, "telling and doing are two different things" but you can certainly improve.

I used Ronnie Wiseman's BK3 last night and broke with it several times and it is just fine. I had no problems with the gel type grip either even though I have a BK2 wrapless. There is another guy who uses a regular playing cue, who is overweight, moves like a snail, doesn't go to the gym but out breaks me and Ronnie put together. (It's all about timing and coordination) That's the secret. :wink2:

Does anyone know if the BK3 is now available with the sport wrap yet? They got pissy about not having entrance priority at the SBE, so I wasn't able to check or even try one out at all.
