Just purchased a Predator BK2 on my lunch break. I broke 20 or so racks with it, and here are my initial impressions:
-The BK2 hits HARD. I'm used to breaking with house cues, and hearing a loud thud when breaking. The BK2 sounds like two balls colliding when it contacts the cue ball. Strangely, though, there is little rattle in the butt.
-I don't have to break as hard. I found I can focus more on controlling the ball and letting the cue speed up my break instead of trying to throw my entire 120lb. frame into the break and sacrificing cue ball control. This led to an overall better break, and better positioning after the break.
Out of the 20 racks I broke, only one was an eight on break, but I suspect this will go up after I learn to use the cue better. I generally get one out of 20 breaks an 8OB, anyhow.
Any questions, let me know, and I'll be glad to test/answer for you.
