So I have a full Revo playing setup, K Series Classic with a pair of 30” 12.4 shafts, BK Rush and Air Rush. Great modern playing setup. But I like traditional wood shaft cues still too and keep both my Runde and my South West satin around for when I feel like kicking it old school. Wood still has a feel that I really appreciate.
Recently Predator was running a holiday sale on the BK4 and I decided to grab one to keep in my wood shafted case, thinking maybe it’d get me a little closer to the feel of my BK Rush which I’ve really grown to like a lot. Got it this week and finally had a chance to take it to the pool hall and hit it alongside my BK Rush today and I have to say, super impressed. It seemed to hit just as hard with the same feel and cue ball control. After a few breaks going back and forth I just broke with the BK4 for the rest of the session even though my BK rush was right there and never once felt like it was lacking in comparison. In fact, I’m not sure I don’t slightly prefer the BK4 when it comes to feel.
For the $350 I got it for it was a hell of deal. I was really prepared to be a little disappointed in comparison to the BK Rush but turns out, not even a little.
I also snagged an Air II a few months back for the same reason, something close to my Air Rush in a wood shaft. It too is really good though there is a bit more of a noticeable difference between those two than the break cues.
Very happy with my “budget” Predator purchases for my wood shaft setup.
