Predator C4+

Hello everyone

I tried to find more detailed info about c4+ technology but i couldnt get any indepth. I saw a flash clip that mentioned about the C4 with innercore made by different piece of wood.

My question is that , on the Blak4 series, they featured Ebony. Does that mean the Ebony is only the shells ? Not spliced solid wood together like other sticks ? Thank you

It's a 4 piece core construction. Most cues are going to be cored, especially with ebony I believe, but these days the vast majority of cues are built with a cored construction. Predator just uses a 4 piece core setup and branded it C4.

The Blak cues are not spliced, it'd be cored ebony with inlaid points/design depending on the model.

Do you know how thick the ebony layers are ? And what are the typical core materials ? I asked because what if down the road I want to recondition it ?

I think I found a picture posted. Look to be 2-3 mm thickness

I think maple is typically used as a coring wood. No clue on the details of the Predator build though, sorry.

My advise for predator cues is buy something that Jacoby makes for them. They make really good stuff none of this painted BS. My main player is a 526-4. Love it

I think Blak is ebony Inlay with cored wood, whatever the core material is. I dont know if Jacoby made it or china

The Blak would have to be cored. Ebony is nearly twice the density of maple. For the same reason I doubt there's ebony under the wrap (besides just being a waste). Doesn't matter to me, the ebony is absolutely stunning. Really nice grain in mine.
Tried to look down the weight bolt hole, but it's dead ended and doesn't show wood (didn't know that before). Feels like a urethane or composite of some kind there.
