Predator coming out with another value line cue (Aspire)

Yes, I was able to find a predator dealer and had him upgrade me to the revo 11.8, witch is what I wanted predator to do for me but wouldn't. The cue is dead straight and plays amazing, mine is more rear balanced making it feel lighter than it actually is. The aspire moves the cue ball effortlessly, I am in love with it to be honest, The black has very nice metallic flake in it and finish is spotless. One note is that the extension bumper does not go in all the way just a heads up, my cue was not tapped far enough, I had to grind down the bumper on my grinding wheel. I mentioned this to predator via messenger on FB.
Is the bumper thread (in the Aspire butt) compatible with the predator extensions ?

Yes as I said it is but the threads are not deep enough, off about 1/8 inch, I contacted predator about the issue no idea if the newer aspire's have been fixed, mine is the first line that has not gold predator lettering on the butt.

My buddy just picked up the Purpleheart version. The extension bumper sits out a 1/4" so I'll have to chop the extension bumper down as well.

Predator is going after the League Player who give all their money to league operators. So most have budget equipment.🤭

Predator is imho making smart marketing move.

i have one. why would it be better than z2?
The z2 was a bit too stiff for me (I still have that as well from years ago).
From 2004, I still have my first gen Z shaft, just wish they were around so I could buy a backup shaft and also for trying out different tips etc... As, the original Moori mediums are long gone as well..
So I am still trying out tip options (I had a 10 year playing gap).

Anyway, tried carbon shafts. Not a fan.
So when Predator release new shafts, like this, I try them out but nothing comes close so far to my original z shaft.
The search continues.

ok. i have the pre-cat 314 and the first gen z-shaft as a player and reserve/snooker shaft respectively. i think the consensus on here for a moori feeling cue tip is ultraskin/SIB, and i agree with that

Yep, got the same advice and so far the Ultraskin has been the pick of the bunch..
It just loses shape quickly, so more tip maintenance. Not a big deal though.

I just spoke with the predator rep about it. He said it’s not not a design of manufacturing “issue” , it’s rather intentional because predator does not want the Aspire to be compatible with their extensions , that’s why the butt threat is not long enough ( as a result Aspire is not in the list of compatible cues with the extensions) . Similar reason applies to mini radial pin. Even though it fits within the Revo shaft , they claim it’s not a perfect fit and don’t want to promote that kind of butt /shaft blend.

Pin fits perfect no issues, bumper works as I said. Predator yes does not want to do the "upgradable cue" option but I think they are missing out on sales because of that. If someone simply does not want the " 1" shaft and rather exchange it out for another like a 314 or z they should offer that option. Cues are gorgeous and not gaudy, plays amazing with a revo on it, I never even hit with the " 1 " shaft.
