Has Predator changed the decals for their partial shafts? I just got a partial for a cue I have been working on, and the decal looks different. There is no backing on it. If I try to transfer it on as is, it will be backward.
Any ideas, advice ?

Yes, Predator has changed the style/type of decals yet again.
What you have is the traditional 'wet-apply' type.
Predator has gone to this type across the board, meaning FAT, 314-2 & Z-2 all use this type.
It's basically the same type of decal you used when you built model cars.
You could I suppose, float them in a saucer of water until the decal lifts or
what I do is spray the cardboard-back with a water mist and let it sit for a few secs.
Once the decal becomes mobile on the backing, just slide it off onto the shaft where
you want it.

What type of finish are you using?

I have no experience with a CA finish on these decals so I can't help you there.
BTW, you're welcome. Glad to help.

The one time I tried a CA finish with the Predator decal it dissolved it. I hope you have more than one if you run into the same peoblem
