Predator FAT Shafts ?

I have used predator 314 shafts for some time now. I was looking at trying their new FAT shaft. Unfortunatly there isn't a place around where I live to try one. Any opinions would be much apreciated. Also is the hit any stiffer than the normal 314 ?
 
I recommend it if you like thicker shafts. It took a little time to get used to, because it plays stiffer. But, i've been using a predator for 6,7 years now and I am sold on the fat shaft. just feel more confident, bit more control...
 
they seem to be in demand...just buy one and if u dont like it post it on here and someone will buy it im sure. youll probably lose a few bucks but its worth the risk sometimes. thats how im playing with an ob1 now. I tried it and sold my predator

I was also thinking that shaft would break the balls well. I use my shooting cue a lot to break with anyway. Good question.
 
Hello,

If you don't like it you could have it turned down some. I fear that I may not be able to move the cue ball around and draw as well, so turning it down is an option. I think it could be a great breaker, low deflection too. I would propably change the tip and ferrule though.

I agree with not being able to move the ball as well with a thicker shaft. Thats my personal experience. As far as turning it down might as well just resell it as you'd be back to the normal predator 314's in a way. For the ferrule I have always broke with my predator shafts and have never had a problem with them but I have seen others that have had them crack.
 
There are points on the cue-ball that need to be hit. Look at the cue-ball like it's one side of a Rubic's Cube. there are nine points on the cue-ball, the middle points and the left and right points. If you feel your hitting them properly, and getting the action you desire, use whatever your comfortable using.
