Predator Ikon1st and P3 wrap difference

I just acquired a 1st gen Ikon-3, the leather deluxe wrap is very glossy and slippery, doesn't feel good at all..... But on my buddies P3 the wrap is not glossy and is not as soft as mine, feels much better.... Both cues have the deluxe leather wrap. My question is, has the deluxe leather wrap changed from the ikon1's to the P3's, or will my wrap eventually 'wear in' and be similar to the P3?

Well, the wrap on Ikon 1st and P3 was a controversial topic a while back. Some said the wrap on Ikon 1st has lesser quality than the one on P3 even tho they are made from the same material?! Some said after using for a while and being affected by some factors like humidity, temperature, sweat,... could make the wrap becomes glossy and slippery, no matter if it's on Ikon or P3. And some said natural elements stated above can't change the characteristics of deluxe leather as they are made to be resisted to them and those have glossy and slippery wraps must be fake.
