I'm looking for any information, pics, what it might be worth, for an older predator jump cue.. I have not seen the cue it was offered to me for 35$ but I'm told it's not the Air jump. I'm having a hard time finding anything on line about anything other than the predator air..

Any help would be great
Thanks. Dax

Ok, yeah I didn't know of one. So I guess I'll just wait and see what it is. Thanks!

Be aware that if it's just a jump butt that is using a Predator shaft - 314 - Z2 - Fat, etc - it won't jump for beans. LD shafts are made to react opposite of what you need to promote jumping. Best of luck!

Ok thanks. I'll get to see it tomorrow and I'll go from there. I doubt it's a 314 or z shaft they are only asking 35$ . I'll post pics latter thanks for the help.

sure its not a poison jump cue as i believe predator and poison are all the same company arent they

I'm not sure about that. I know everything predator I have used I like so I'm hoping it's what she said it was I'll get to see it Tuesday, and I'll figure out if I want to buy it.

Like Mdavis228 said, back in the day before there was even a Predator Air Jump cue, a few custom cue builder offered jump cues that made use of a 314 shaft. Nowadays I would imagine them using a Fat, anyhow... This was just for the Predator fanboys who wanted a complete set.
I do have to say that I believe, in contradictory to Mdavis228, that with with a new ferrule and tip installed on those 314's, they would have still jumped great. I'm saying this because I see many people being able to jump with the BK2 break cue which in essence has a 314 technology shaft but with a different ferrule and tip.

If you still want to buy a Predator Air, I can only say that opinions vary on the product from excellent to damn worst jump cue. This is because of the light weight and alot depends on what technique you're using.

The Poison jump cues.... Yeah, I saw some players use it on the Mosconi cup too. I own one myself. I can say it performs like the average jump cue. The Poison company belongs to the Predator group. So in a way, since they quit producing the Air, the Poison jump is the only way to go "all predator".

I hope this helps

Good points all. I know guys that use Poison JB's etc - hadn't kept in mind about them being made by Predator. In general, a LD shaft is made to bend away from the cue ball instead of driving thru it due to low end mass.
btw - I owned a Pred Air for a short time, and I thought they were a pos...

i disliked my predator air so much so its in a closet. to the OP, predator has obviously discontinued the air series. But at the SBE verified there is a new jump cue in the works and should be out towards the end of the year. I haven't tried the poison jump cue. i bought a J&J jump break cue for 60 bucks and it does the job quite well with my technique. food for thought. Kudos!

Yeah I have deff heard mixed feelings about the pred air. I'll just see what happens tomorrow..

the poison jump cue is very good for the price.....a lot better than the pred air imo.
ive just sold a poison jump cue and moved upto a diveney jump cue.it jumps insane.only thing ive known to come close is a fisher or a lomax.

Well the person I was going to buy this from never brought it up to the pool hall. But I did just buy a fisher jump cue on eBay. I head a lot of good things about them.
