Predator Limited Edition Cues - what's the scoop?

Predator cues

I have 2 preds and 1 schon. Honestly, I love thier shafts, but think their butts are average quality at best.I take exceptional care of my cues and have had both of the butts refinished. I personally think they are over priced through out. Regards, Kennyratt

The regular Predator butts are made by Falcon, and are nothing great. But the LE series butts are made by Mezz, and are worlds different as opposed to the Falcons.

They are very well constructed, and very well done in general.

As for holding it's value. That is disputable for just about any cue, especially from a production company.

Anyone have any feedback on the Predator Limited Edition cues,
especially the LE-11?

I have never seen the LE-11 in person or hit with one. I do however own a SE-4 (see here) .

I was told by a Pechauer rep that they make all the butts and just stick a 314 shaft on them - so essentially it's a Pechauer cue. This is probably the same for the Mezz cues.

As for the workmanship it's top of the line, as I'm sure is true for Mezz.

A previous poster said the long-term value may be diminished since it's a production cue, but it's not a production cue - it's a limited/special edition cue. They are made in very small quantities so they are somewhat of collectors items I suppose.

JMO, hope it helps.

See this link: http://www.predatorcues.com/english/LE11.htm

Do these cues hold their value?

What's the workmanship like?

Thanks for you help...

According to my supplier, the LE11 butts are made by Mezz... If you are in the market for one, I can get it for you for cheap.. email me at erik@erikleecues.com if you are interested.

The new SE5 butts are made by Samsara, the LE's are by Mezz.

As for them not being a production cue, well.. That depends on your definition of production. Either way though, they are distributed by a production company, which is my main point..

Regardless, the LE's are beautiful cues.

Hmm, the question is really that is a limited edition production cue going to hold its value ? I don't think so. But this is just my opinion.

If the butt is from a different maker in LE cues, I'd say the cue might even hit a little bit better. I've shot with a couple of LE Pred cues and I think one butt was quite slim and the hit was nice, nicer than in regular Predators. But in any case, Predators don't feel right to me anyway. ;)

What's the "SCOOP" on the new Predator LE series, you ask?

I think they should all be used in the following implements. You can then have Mooches for the inside and these for the outside:

Now, how's that for a "scoop"?
