Good Morning gang! Its time to play......."name that hit!" Of course, my brother in law just played the game and was successful in naming a "louisville slugger". His reward ? Three weeks away from my sister in the hospital!!!!!! Okay okay, enough of the jokes.
Seriously, we all know that a meucci has a 5/16x18 pin and a .825-.830 diameter at the joint. Yes, hit has a lot to do with the shaft choice, including its shape, but I've always thought that joint diameter and pin have a TREMENDOUS amount to do with the hit of a cue. Which brings me to my next question. If a 314^2 is already a "supershaft" with tons of action, then what is a meucci like with the predator shaft ? Or, said another way, if the Meucci is already whippy as heck, does it become more so (or less so) with the Predator ?
I've got a 97-10 that, due to my idiotic "can't let a cue go without making it right" attitude, with a black dot shaft (possibly the worst shaft I've ever hit with....why did they get rid of the red dot....wasn't bad at all*#$#*%&%*^$#&a@@^$%*!!!) I thought I could "save" by changing pins (to a radial G10) and a 314^2 shaft. But if someone has already gone through the process and found an improvement to the hit with the 314^2 by itself, maybe I don't have to torture some unsuspecting cuemaker with the task of replacing pins on a meucci......
