Hi

I use Mcdermott cue with predator shaft at the moment but I consider replacing the cue with Predator P3 model cause I'd prefer a cue with more solid hit with SS joint.

I got a few concerns about the uniloc joint as well as the P3 butt. The opinions about this joint are usually far from being favorable, could anyone provide me some longer term user review about the joint durability and reliability ?

Also, My McD is a rear weighted cue and I like it that way what is the ballance point in case of P3 (I like heavier weighted cue, around 20 oz).

Does the cue comes with the weight exchange kit? Is it difficult to change this cue weight.

Lastly, if you are a user of this cue, what is your opinion about it, have you noticed any issues with it ? Would you recommend it ?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance for any reply:)

man you just gotta brag about having an ipad don't you!!!

i just thought i'd chime in because i used to have a p2 and the joints on the p2 and p3 are about the same. anyway the joint isn't really a SS joint. it's a SS sleeve with phenolic under it. the cue hits soft but still pretty stiff with a lot of feel. you can feel a very satisfying vibration every time you hit a ball.

i recommend the P2 over the P3 because i don't dig the wrap. well and i think the P3 looks a little odd. the P2 just looks like an all go no show cue.

friend of mine prefers p2 over p3, he swears the hit is "harder". but it definitly looks a 100X better than the p3

Thanks for all your replies:)

P.s. yeah, I love my ipad, and it's the newest version too;)

i just got mine a p3 . i will let you know in a bit how i feel about it....i too am curious as too the long term outcome and usage of this cue ..thanx

I was about to purchase a P3 back in November but ended up finding an unused P2 in the for sale section and couldn't pass. Everyone here seems to think the P2 hits better and weirdly enough there aren't that many people here in my area that have the P3 so I can't really compare. Looking forward to what the above poster has to say.

I have had my P3 for about six Months now. I had a Predator Sneaky pete Before it. I love the P3. I have the z shaft and the 314 2 for it. The part I love the most about the stick is the fact that you can customize the weight in it. So fine tuning it with in tenth of an ounze. The stick hit firm but yet it had a lot of feel to it. I never shot with the P2 tho. So I can't compare the two. All I know is the P3 turned out to be the right cue for how i shoot.

I had to tune in here because keep in mind though a standard 19 oz P3 isn't rear weighted. It's more forward balanced even. I don't know though how much the weight to get it upto 20oz will shift the balance.
So that might be something to take in though.
