Is there a tool I can get at say Home Depot/Lowes to get the weight bolt out? I see they have a tool and weights for sale at Seyberts but I really don't feel like paying 60 bucks for it. Thanks

What you need is a simple hex wrench (aka Allen wrench). I can't tell what size exactly, but take your cue butt to Home Depot, with the bumper removed, and show someone in the Tools department what you need to remove. They should be able to help you get the right size and length.

In this cue, the holes are side by side on the weight bolt, not just the single hole like usual. Similar to the P2/P3 weight system I believe.

As long as they reach far enough in, they just might work. Thanks for the replies.

....

I don't think this would work..the new weight bolt kits...have something similar to a spanner wrench..

I was also curious to know what other tools could be used to get the weights out as i ordered a bk3 and it came with the incorrect weights. So the dealer is sending me additional weights..but I still need to install them.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

1st. of all, and it's just my opinion, this system is really ridiculous and another way to either discourage people from adjusting their own weights or, another way to nickle and dime you. I lean more towards the 2nd. option, I have seen and worked on more cues to date with this system, where people have cross threaded the bolt back in. But as for your question, buy the right tool if you insist on doing it yourself.

Mike Webb gave you the best advise, I would take it the man knows what he is talking about. Sure you could take some short cuts but better be safe then sorry. Listen to those who know.

I've seen the tool and I don't believe it would be all that hard to make one.
Some steel rod, a couple of dowel pins and maybe even weld on a 'T' handle.
Or better yet, a removable handle like on a tap wrench. Smaller pkg.
I'm not real happy with Predator right now so I may consider it.
