Predator Shaft Question

Why doesn`t predator make shafts longer than 30 inch for us tall guys ?
Would that defeat the purpose of the predator design ?

Not enough demand to make them economically. Why do custom cues cost so much more than factory? For the same reason. Products must be mass produced to off-set the set up cost. There just isn't enough demand for longer ones to pay for the special set up charges plus they may not feel that if the shaft is longer that it would play the way they design it to.

Thanks Dick

Thats what we figured at the pool room, I have a few predator shaft users and they all except two are 6ft and over

if you feel the need for a longer cue then have your butt extended, problem solved forever

the longer the shaft, even a Predator will add to the deflection, I know lots of people that gotten a longer Predator, (30"), most have had it shortened. They couldn't believe how much more it deflected. Although it sounds mix matched, the longer butt is the way to go.

Hi, quick question, pls correct me if i'm wrong, Isn't it that deflection is only affected by the weight of the first 6 inches of the shaft? I can't understand why if it is longer would give more deflection, I can understand if it is fatter like 314-2 fat which has the same bore size with 314-2.

Thanks :)

Hi DG
Wish I had all the answers but the truth is, I don't. I do know every-time the equation changes, so does the answer. Some people will even venture that the butt doesn't matter when dealing with Predator shafts, and Oh boy does it. That's as honest as I can be.
