Predator Shaft('s) Question?

I know this has probably been asked before, but I would appreciate it if someone could explain the difference to me between the different Predator shafts I've seen. Some have just 314 on them, some have the 314 with a cat, and some have 314 with a cat and a 2 on them. Is one better than the rest? Is there a difference in the way they are made? If there's a link to an explanation already posted, I couldn't find it, but I'm not that great with computers, so any help would be appreciated.
