Predator Sneaky Pete (SPWU)

I'm planning on getting a Predator Sneaky Pete (the wood to wood model) as a back-up cue, but have a couple of questions for people who have used or owned one in the past.

Is the SPWU forward balanced? It's full-spliced, w/o a steel joint, so I'm afraid the weight would be too backwards. I'm looking to get a 19.5 oz cue.

Also, the shaft doesn't come with a phenolic collar. Will that pose any problems in terms of durability?

Thanks,
Roger

I own one and it's full spliced like a Dufferin cue. Unless you drop the shaft, there shouldn't be any problem with it's splitting. As to balance, it seems balanced evenly. Should you desire forward balancing, then get a sneaky pete having a metal joint.

SPWU For Sale

Hey Buddah:

I'd like to sell my SPWU for $135 plus s&h. It was purchased in 3/2002 and has the longer 30 inch shaft which can be shortened. The shaft and butt show normal wear but there is one minor ding on the butt, barely visible, where it hit the rail while shooting. The stick weighs 20 oz. and the shaft slightly less than 12.75 mm diameter. And I'll install either a new Le Pro or Triangle tip if you like.

Just send me a pm if interested.

Hello Kokopuffs,

Thanks for the response and the offer, but I'd rather buy new.

I would get the steel jointed SP, except I hate metal in my cues.
