ok.. this is a question for somebody that has a new predator sp..

more importantly, the wood to wood joint sp with the red points (new model)

anyways.. i have seen on the 8 point version first hand that the wood jointed cue has a phenolic ring around the inside of the piloted area on the butt to make for a tight fit with the shaft...

my question.. does the wood joint sp4rw have this also? i would imagine it does.. but i figure i would ask somebody that has one...

lemme know...

thanx..chris

Yes, the 4 pointers also have the pin set into a phenolic core, as well as all of the new sp's they are selling (even the green). The new shafts also have the inserts in a phenolic core. I recently sold a sp4rw after playing with it only a few days. The phenolic they are using seems to be softer than most phenolics I have dealt with previously, and the new phenolic to phenolic joint seems to deaden the feedback considerably. I thought it might just be that particular cue, but I played with several of the new sp's, and they all have less feedback than my old one with no phenolic. Just my 2 cents.
