Predator SP8MNW with Revo 12.4 Shaft

Cue pricing along with everything else these days seems to be off the charts. I'm looking at buying a Predator SP8MNW with a Revo 12.4 shaft from a friend who needs the money. What would a fair price be? Both shaft and butt are in excellent condition and dead straight.

I don't want to steal it, but I also don't want to get hurt if I end up not liking it. Normally I would have an idea of what to pay, but prices seem to be rather ridiculous lately. Thanks in advance.

Well, just go with the retail price from the Predator website and subtract whatever seems right for the actual condition of the whole cue.

MSRP is about $850 (with a 314-3 I guess) + $499 for the Revo. If he offers the cue with just the Revo shaft, it's about $1050, new. If the overall condition really is excellent I would say you should offer him $900-$950.

About 75% of the purchase price if it’s in excellent condition….( my opinion). For what it would cost and you’re not sure if you’ll like it simply buy new what you like.
…. Looks like that model cue is retired/discontinued.

In the open market I see some where around $500. The shaft cost $500 new. I bought one used 350. The butt is cheap. Because predator is constantly coming out with new cues people want to up grade. They sell. The old ones.

if you buy a $700 predator with wood shaft you only add 200 to upgrade to revo. Look it up.

I have a similar model. I put it up for sale, but decided to keep it for awhile since the cue I bought to replace it didn't play as good. The plus is it's a radial which almost everyone is in consensus it's the superior pin type with CF shafts and it's the higher end 8 pointer vs 4. Predator only uses radial on limited run items. 70% of original market value is a good place to buy for you imo if it's in excellent condition and has all the original stuff (revo bag, cue sleeve etc). This model is retiring so double check some big retailers to make sure they are not at liquidation prices. Go with the lesser of market value or liquidation price as your market value point. If you decide on selling it later make sure to list on predator forum on FB. Lots of deals are done on that forum for predator gear. This is a solid looking/playing predator with a classic look. This should hold it's value well over the years to come.
