Well I finally got the tip on my Z2 Shaft, not entirely sure I'm happy. The tip was the "Soft" played about 2 hours with it tonight. The tip shapes very well, holds chalk well. However I did experience some mushrooming. Feel isn't what I'm accustomed to feels slightly less solid, I'm going to take off a layer or 2 and see how that feels. Cue ball control is very good just different from what I'm used to.

More to follow, Black Cat

I have the medium on my shaft. I've playd a good bit for about a week with it. It seems to be getting harder. I don't seem to have the feel that I had with it when brand new. Anyone had any experiences like this? It holds chalk well and english is very good.

I typically use a Kamui soft black.

I to have been playing with Kamuii Black Soft like them alot. Was wondering how the Predator Medium would play.... The Soft almost feels to soft, maybe after a week or so and more re shaping it will settle in.

I have a Predator hard on right now, and I'm not impressed.
It played like a super soft when first applied, now after 3 weeks it plays like a medium. I had one of the layers completely mushroom out like I've never seen before.
I will not purchase again, too many other great tips to choose from.
I just installed one of pooldawgs milk duds on a spare shaft, found the hit and spin very nice, but found it expanded when first installed and it has a lot more deflection. Anyone else have the same findings with a milk dud?

Love Pooldawg8's milk duds but now I make my own Triangle duds and have not mushroom problems and plays awesome if you need more info just search my thread ( Addicted to Triangle Duds )

Have you had a chance to weigh the tips before and after the process? Just wondering if they gain any significant weight that would account for increased deflection. Sorry for derailing the thread.

Okay day two, last night I took the tip down a couple of layers and headed out today and see if it helped. Well surpriseingly it did, I'm getting more feel than I did but, still not quite there yet.

So, I just took off a couple more layers down to about 4 1/2 and we will see what tomorrow brings.

I had one put on because I didn't have any of my normal tips and had it replaced about a day later. It felt pretty good for the first hour and then started to feel a little "dead." It was mushrooming already when I cut it off but most do. I just didn't have the feeling that I wanted to change over to them after trying it out for a bit.

Alright Day 3 Results: Hit is very soft, much softer than I remember with Moori or Kamuii Softs. However the tip is holding shape very well and holding chalk extremely well. Took it down to 4 full layers Dime Radius started with 8. Spin is very evident when applied. Tip was causing slight over cutting, but I've adjusted for that and I feel pretty much dialed back in. I think when I replace this one I'll try the Medium or the Hard and see if I can get back to the feel, hit, and sound of the Everest that was on the shaft prior. All and all so far I think it's a good tip, but it did take some adjusting.
