Predator Z-3 vs Z-3 Tuned from Seyberts...

I'm looking into buying the Predator Z-3, and the Seybert's modified Z-3 Tuned caught my eye. Most shafts that are less than 12mm come with a conical taper, which makes me a bit hesitant about buying the tuned pro-tapered shaft.

Does the pro-taper add more whip to the Z-3? Do any of the pros play with the Z-3 tuned shaft?

Also, can anyone recommend another shaft that are less than 12.5mm and has a pro taper?

Thanks!

McDermott i3, , and I believe you can get a Samsara TrueShaft at less than 12.5,
Also Dominiak will make a D3 the way you like it. These are just the first three I thought
of, I’m sure there are more
I have a Z2 that’s been S-Tuned, I didn’t notice it being any more “whippy” I like it a lot.

I <also> have a Z2-S-tuned. While it is significantly more whippy than my 314-1, it is not noticeably more whippy than my Z2. Both Z2 require a nice smooth deliberate stroke and are less forgiving than the 314-1

Contact Lance Cowles. He does the actual "tuning" of the Predator shafts for Seybert's. You can PM him here under Bossman69, or find him on FB at Cue Sports of Battle Creek.
