I posted this in the Main Forum but I guess I should have put it here first. A friend of mine purchased a Tim Scruggs Sneaky Pete the first year they came out. This cue went into a case and has never been played with. NEVER CHALKED! He was thinking about selling it and was wondering where the best place to get the highest price would be. I am not a big fan of Ebay for cues. What do you think it should go for? Starting price? Sell at DCC or Valley Forge perhaps? Any input you have would be helpful. Thank you.

Kind of depends. Does it have a butt cap? Is the joint just wood to wood or is it ivory or phenolic? Is it straight?

Most of the TS sneaky's will go between 350-400, especially for the plain ones. To me, never chalked doesn't mean a whole lot in a sneaky. It would have sold new if he actually got it in the first year for about 125 or less. So he most certainly is going to make some money on it. I personally wouldn't give over 450, but I'm not looking for one right at the moment.

Sure some of the collectors of such cues would go a little higher.

I have to agree with Cubswin on this one. A sneaky is not that rare a cue, so, personally, the fact that it is unplayed doesn't do that much for me. The Scruggs sneakies that are most sought out in my area are the ones with the white butt cap, TS on it, and a variety of joints, with ivory being best. also, other things like rings, etc add to the value. I am sure it would be a nice addition for someone. Scruggsinhand is a good person to contact and see what he thinks.

Sneaky value

Scruggs sneakie's seem to do different things at different times of the year. Since more people realize they can get the same cue new from Bob Frey now there value has leveled. Whatever Bob's cues are doing the old ones seem to be $100 more. Nick
