Hey all,

need some help to get to know a good price for a old Scruggs.
I think it's build in the 80's.

Can someone give me round about a price for such a cue.
I'am not able to give a comment at this point.

It's not in a good condition and it has to be refinished.

Would be very thankful if somebody can give me a hint!

Can send pics via mail, don't know how to save them.

Excuse my english :)

Send me your pics and I will post them for you. I am pming you my email address.

Just some info:
Tim is no longer making cues and has retired. If you or a new owner wanted to refinish the cue it would have to be done by someone else. The good thing going for it is the butt cap appears to be in excellent condition. Not to sure about that big ding in the forearm. Looks like an ivory joint but can't confirm from the pics. If you can measure the diameter of the tips that helps also in value. Some people like to keep these old cues just like they are and others like to have them refinished. This is a cool old Scruggs for sure that has seen a lot of play which is what it was built for. The market is tough right now but Tim's cues will be valuing now that he is retired. I however do not feel comfortable putting a value on your cue without knowing more. Does it roll straight together and apart, any cracks, etc. I am sure someone will give you an idea. Best of luck and welcome to the forum:thumbup:

Leon Sly has refinished many Scruggs cues here in MD. and uses the exact automotive finish that Tim and Mike used. 410-827-4966 late afternoon or evening is best.
