Private Lessons

How many of you have had any type of formal instruction with your playing. I'm interested in Randy's school but probably wouldnt be able to swing the $ for the 3 day course. Is the one day, one on one, experience worth the $, or are there other options for personal instruction? (Dal, Tx)

Quite honestly I think it's the quickest way to shorten the learning curve as long as you are willing to practice hard what you are taught. My lesson with scott lee was video taped by him, so I can review it as often as I need to

Never had to pay more than $100 for a Lesson

You, need to take lessons from experts, they have insights you can't imagine.

I have taken lessons from Richie Florence, Ronnie Allen, Francisco Bustamante, Mike Massey, Kim Davenport, Hal Mix and now Rafael Martinez.

When Max Eberle comes back from the Asia to Hardtimes Bellflower next year.
I'm going to stay in LA for a month and take lessons from Max, but not every day.
I will be in the pool room every day practicing day and night on my game.

It is just me, I'd rather learn from past or top level Pro Players.

I don't know Scott Lee, people here on the forum say he is a great teacher.
Even he say's he is great and has a wealth of knowledge, Grin.
He may be great, it's just that he doesn't meet my Pro criteria.

Each instructor is different and not everyone is for your liking.
I like to take a lessons once a week to have time to practice what I have been taught.
That is my problem it is hard to keep motivated to practice when you have to work and make a living.
I have a table at home and still don't practice enough.

Overload can be an issue you need to practice what you have been taught.
Ray Martin said the best way to make cut's into the side pocket, "Is Practice".

Take Care and Best Wishes for your game, Barney
