Interesting aspect of golf is putting.
It's the green pool table outside on the ground, not leveled.

Are there any pro golfers that profess playing on pool room tables helps their putting game?

I played golf with Matlock when he was learning how to play golf. I was giving him a playing lesson of sorts. Not swing mechanics, he already was working with someone, mostly it was rules, strategy and putting. For not playing golf much he was a very good putter. We talked about reading the greens and once he had a line his attention to detail and speed control was excellent.

Absolutely. The speed control aspects are very much the same. And curling, which combines speed control with the tangent line concept.

Just got done watching Matsuyama win PGA golf event today. I'm not nor have I ever been a golfer, loved working the grounds in the summers in my youth, but hittin' one ball then 10 min later one more, Nah :) I was way more hyper than that.
Kinda of a hidden trait of allot of pool players.
I was working at that time in home turned the volume up, not watching the tv just listening to thee announcers they were old time PGA announcer Rounders that make sense, at the close of play, they both said see yah back here in 6 week$$$$.... Nice, another pay day. eh :)

Anywho.....

After players totaled their score cards, as Always a few went on camera, talked about their rounds/play/course etc....
The Greens....often, OFF Ten.... the Putt was mentioned :).
I found it enjoyable listening to Great Players but I was/not watching.
Understanding their explanations & thought process, was like listening to a professor, I liked it.
This kid was close to Fillers age, and his explanation of matters I found extremely informative, in many wayzzzzzzzzzzz.

I don't know about pros, but I will say that without exception, every decent golfer that I know who also plays pool gets around the table pretty well.

I can't say Pool ever helped my Golf game......I will say that Golf helped my Pool game though........There is a very similar tempo between a golf swing and a pool stroke......After playing Golf.....my pool stroke tempo would improve.

It may have been in a unique situation ...Modern day techniques have changed a bit for Golf...but ....Old school Golf instruction had a lot of focus on the left hand/left side....(for right handed golfer)......lot of left hand only drills.......I played Golf right handed (swing a bat right handed also)......but I am left eye dominant and play pool left handed......so the "left" control hand transitioned with me to holding a pool cue.
