Predator used to offer a Pro Pool School. What are your thought on these? Have any of you attended one? Was it worth the $$? Learn much from them? Did your game improve and stay up to speed or was it like taking Spanish in school and now the only things you can remember will get you slapped in the face?

havent been to predator but i can vouch for cue-techs pool school 1000%. Its been about 6 months since i attended their advanced school and ive never played better in my life this consistently. Guys i couldnt beat 4 months ago im having to give spots to......i play cheap sets and gamble in small ring games for 5 to 10$ a man.......and i won probably twice what my school costs in just december alone.

Scott, Randy is in New Zealand on Pool School business right now. He'll be back in a couple of weeks. I had a great time in N.C. and am definitely looking forward to the Expert Class.

Bob,
It will be fun to get that group back together again. I got a feeling we will probably fill up both classes this year very early.
Steve

hey there bob good hearing from ya. Yeah this year im going to stay in charlotte the whole time so i can hang out with you guys more and pick your brains. Im saving up bail money right now.

Scott,

Man, been brain picked tonight! :) Had a student that was fun, and excited. He's 13 years old and plays a weak but sporty B right now. Basically, I'm taking him through the same course you went through, but at a much slower pace... 3 hours at a time over an 8 week period. This kid has a lot of potential and I look for him to be "scary" in the not too distant future.

Bail Money? Hey, I'll be the DD and save on my share of the bail money! LOL If I stay sober, I can't get in too much trouble, right??? Too old to fight, too tired to chase women 'til daylight... but, with that crew, it might be a good idea to bring along a little bail money, anyways!

Looking forward to the trip and this time I'm going to drive down a couple of days early so I'm not worn out the entire time I'm there! Thinking about driving into Nashville the first day and spending a day or so playing there, then moving on to Charlotte and be there a day or two early. I'm going to make it a "working vacation" this time!

later,
Bob

cuetech?

I wasn't aware they had a school. I will check their website and see what I can find.

That's good to know. I signed up weeks ago. Tried to get in touch this week and he hasn't answered me back either. Been there twice and come away better every time. Going for the Instructor class early 2006. Got my first Jerico at Pool School couple years ago.
Tom

Hey, Tom... yeah, I got hooked on Jerico cues when Randy let me hit a few balls with his. Ordered my first one that week, now have three and another one on the way... well, another one being paid for. I'm buying the Jerico Anniversary cue matched cue/jb set. Whew, she's pretty, and of course, I'll play with it and not just look at it! LOL

Just curious, when are you going to the instructor class. I'm helping Randy and Oz teach a class there in mid-March.

Hey Bob. I'm actually not sure if I'm signed up yet. I need to talk to Randy to confirm dates again. I'm wanting to go last two weeks in March.

Anniversary cue! Wow.. I bet it is beauty. What do you think of Randy's Masterpiece? Got pics of yours? Jerry builds a great playing cue for sure.

It's only about a four hour drive for me. I started going about three years ago. Tried to get to the instructors class last year but couldn't make it.

Maybe I'll see you up there

BTW Bob.. you didn't happen to go there a couple years ago on Valentines weekend did you? My wife Kim and I were there and your name sounds familiar and the guy I'm thinking of had just goten a very very nice Jerico and was using it at the classes.

Tom

Tom, that very well could have been me. I sometimes just "show up" and help Randy. I don't have pics of the Anniversary cue, or Masterpiece, as he calls it sometimes, but it's on his website at http://www.jericocues.net/masterpiece.htm The pictures on there don't do it justice... this thing is beautiful. One of my other cues is on there also, while it was still being made. It's the ebony with overlapping turquoise and bocote points at the top of the page at http://www.jericocuesales.com/

If that's the cue you saw, then yep, I was there in February! :)

Later,
Bob
