Anyone use this?

http://www.seyberts.com/products/ProShot_Glove-101527-84.html

I have had it for a few months and have used it regularly and it has been a HUGE improvement on my stroke. Sure, I catch a lot of flack about it and the occasional jokes.

I had one guy tell me I couldn't wear it because it fixed something that was wrong and that shouldn't be allowed. I laughed and told him I'd take it off if he played without his glasses, since they essentially do the same thing...he didn't agree and I played with it anyway.

I'm starting to practice without it...don't want to become dependant on it...but in 99 percent of matches I'm wearing it now...it's by far the best thing I've bought besides my cue.

IN some cases it is a nice toy to work on bad habits. Can be useful-but don t work for everyone. Each player is individual and not each player has the same body/movement.
But for sure for some guys it can be a great help if it s used right during practicing.

ProShot Glove

Thanks for the nice words. I am the inventor of the ProSHot Glove. More and more people are using it. We just got the ACS Seal of Approval are a training aid. Also we are expecting anyday now the BCA and EPBF Seals of Approval.
Besides Mika Immonen endorsing the glove we also have Rodney "The Rocket" Morris, Zion Zvi, Florian Kohler, Jennifer Barretta, Jorgen Sandman. A lot of Pro's are using this as teaching aids for their students.

I tend to curl my wrist inward when I shoot and this has helped fix my stroke. Someone did a study that said if you move your wrist in or out during the stroke 1/16 of an inch on a long shoot you can miss by a full pocket's width.

Thanks again,
Keith Larsen

put me on the list of endorsers! lol...it's the only way my name will be thrown in with theirs...plus...how cool would it look to have some average person pictured next to them? :)

Keith,
I think the product is a good product as well. I don't have much of wrist problem but I know many that do have that problem and your product can fix it. I did a review on that glove which you can see by clicking here.

I would like to see you or someone develop a glove that would only allow you to close your hand to a certain point. Basically a glove which would prevent you from "squeezing" the cue. If you figure out how to make one, please make sure you let me know. Some others have suggested that the glove would have a little "beeper" or noise maker that the glove would make a noise or shock if the glove were squeezed too tightly.

Anyway, just some ideas for another product.

Best Regards,
JoeyA

Looks good.
Is this something that can be worn as a corrective measure and in time, you would be able to take it off and find that your stroke will be ok without it?

Cause, sometimes I think I need one. My stroke that is. It doesn't always follow me to the hall.

I guess i am going to have to read up on this later tonight because i just dont see what it does...

um... Little research never hurts! :-)

Before I had the pro shot glove I used my sides carpal tunnel brace...hich did exactly that...

Wow, very interesting device. Very creative. I may have to try this, im always lookin into new ways to practice without a table and i believe i could add this to my arsonal.

ProShot Glove

Joey A, they used to have a golf glove of some type that would beep when you squezzed to tight. I will try to find it. In a way the ProShot Glove does give you some feed back about too tight grip pressure. Most peoplke when they squeeze tight their hand position changes and you will feel it with the glove. Try it.

When I first developed this glove I used a carpel tunnel brace and then realized that some people bend thier wrist outward as well as inwards. So I made the glove to handle both ways also made it to fit either a right or left handed player.

As I mentioned before I used to bend my wrist inward. I have been playing on and off with it on for the past year and I am almost straight now. Over time it will correct. I also use it in my league. The other thing about this glove is it will give you instant feed back if you are bending your wrist because you will feel the pressure.

The brace are actually bent to the same position that Mika Immonen has his hand. When I was studying tapes of players I noticed that he keeps his hand/wrist straighter through the shot than any other players. That is why he is so consistant.

This morning I woke, thinking as usual about pool, the Pro Shot Glove, your post and the little bit of research that I did on the glove that I would like to see invented.

Last night I ran across a few things that might work. ONe of the them wsa the Sensor Glove for golf. It beeps when you apply too much pressure to the club. In fact each finger has a sensor. It sounds like it might work for pool as well but only as a training device. I'm afraid you wouldn't be allowed to wear it in competition. I can only imagine, me playing next to a table with Buddy Hall on it and as I pull the trigger, four finger beeps go off at one time just as Buddy is preparing to pull the trigger himself. :D:D:grin::grin:

The Sensor glove is about a hundred bucks and it might be nice to check out.

there is another product that interested me as a training device. It was a specially designed cue from England or Great Britain that would collapse if you applied too much pressure or wrist twist and anthing else except a good solid smooth stroke. I forget their name but I might revisit them soon.

In the meantime, if you have a wrist twist, the Pro Shot Glove can help you correct that flaw.

YOu can purchase the Pro Shot Glove ON SALE right here on AZ Billiards Marketplace.

Joey A, thanks for the heads up about AZ Market place. I wasn't aware you can buy it there.

Also I will look into the Sensor Glove for golf. My golf game is much better than my pool game.

Last night I got a call from the BCA and we got their Seal Of Approval as a traing/teaching aid.

Thanks Again.

No problem, Keith. I like to let everyone know that they can buy a lot of products right here on AZ Marketplace. Ooops, I had better watch out advertising such things on this forum or the Naysayers will get their cry baby act together and start stalking me again.
