I think they should set up some kind of professional team league. Mix the men and women, take the top 7 men and top 7 women, then set up a "draft" for the rest of the players where the #7 ranked get first round pick and so on. Teams would then travel and play each other each week in perhaps a mosconi cup format. If there was a way to pay the players with ticket sales, merchandise, and sponsors I think it would work

If players had guaranteed salaries, with bonuses for winning I think pool could get some recognition. It wouldn't be as big as football, but it might be a start to something.
just a thought I had remembering an old post about how much the pro players were making compared to other athletes, and I thought to myself, thats because the pros HAVE to win and finish good to make money, pro athletes don't. The usually get bonuses for winning, but they get paid regardless. could take some pressure off the pros and we could really see there games come out!
