problem with stroke

Hello I am new to this forum and have a query to make. I have a problem that my elbow hangs out which causes me to cue across the ball thereby putting accidental inside english on the cue ball and causing me to be inconsistant with my long potting. I have tried lots of different things with my stance but nothing seems to be working. Can anybody help me with this?

If your stance is good try lining up your shoulder with the cue ball & take a few practice shots to see if this helps. Your stance should be around 45 degrees more or less to the cue ball. Also be aware of wrist twisting this is the big bug with my stroke.

USUALLY if the elbow is pointing out from your body, it suggests that you are standing too far away fron the cue, and using your forearm to bring the cue back under your chin. I'm only suggesting this as a possibility, since it is virtually impossible to verify the problem without actually seeing you shoot.

Good point about the stance, in my view that is possibly the most likely cause for the flyway elbow.

However we did actually have a young kid who had this problem and it turned out to be something completely different. He would actually move his head during the shot, to the right side of the cue, we tried everything to get him to correct this, but couldn't. We even went as far as holding a cue over his head and letting it hit him when he moved his head, even with that he'd still do it every time.
