Just received a McWorter I bought off Ebay. The seller had no history or feedback so I was reluctant to buy. He agreed to use Proficient's Escrow service so we proceeded with the transaction. Scott at Proficient provides a super valuable service. You can go to their website and click on the "Escrow" link for details. Prior to consumating the payment Scott sends an email detailing the condition of the cue with lots of pics. Truly worth the $ 50 escrow fee if you are buying a high end cue or have any concerns about the buyer/seller. I know I will use it again.

I agree with you 100%! It's definitley the safest way to buy a cue besides buying in person. His pictures are excellent and he will point out even the smallest imperfections.

This is great to know. It takes all the worry out about spending big money and wondering if you are going to get what you bought. Thanks,

David

I couldn't agree more. I bought a cue from overseas and used Proficient, went without a hitch. Very, very valuable service.

damn nice mcworter you got there!!!!!!
Escrow is the way to go if you don't trust the seller!! i saw the auction and was reluctant too with new member with 1 feedback... but hey- everyone started as a new member and no feedback once....

Good for you, It just makes sense! plus by sharing you'r experience you serve as a good reminder that it can be much safer to buy high dallor cues over the internet if you do it wisely. Plus I feel if the seller wont agree to escrow, they are to risky to do buisness with anyway.

Thanks!!! I am pretty new at collecting and am just accumulating whatever strikes my fancy. BUT - I think I got a really good buy on this cue. It was included in the McWorter pics in the 2001 Cuemakers calendar. As soon as I learn how to upload pics I will post in the Cue Gallery.

how much did it cost if u dont mind my asking

Ebay bidding ended at $ 1550 and with the shipping, insurance and the escrow fee to Proficient it totalled $ 1725. All the white you see in the cue is ivory (except the ferrules). It is 10 points up and 10 points down with a silver veneer along one side of each point.

I'll get to play with it tomorrow night.

wow.. that is a beautiful cue.. what do you think it should have gone for or the actual value to be? i am not up to date on McWorter, but i would say that cue should be around the 2500 mark.. ?

great buy..chris
