I think its time that the moderators should start having to review and approve profile and signature pictures. Some of the pictures on this site are borderline pornographic. Are we here for pool or for girls gone wild? Its pretty bad when I have to close my browser when a kid walks in the room while I'm searching the azb forums.
Folks:
While I agree with D-Rock that some of the avatars I see on here are DEFINITELY borderline pornographic, let's keep in mind what this website (and its content) is about -- Pool. Need I remind everyone that people from all walks of life play this game? Remember the source. Many times, when you look at an avatar, and then the avatar owner's writing style, you can kinda connect the dots as to what walk of life that person is from. (And I say "many times" -- which on the flip side of the coin means, "not always.")
Personally, I have my view configured to not display avatars or signatures. I can safely browse and respond to AZB, even when on break at work, and not have to worry, unless someone attaches a questionable image (such as my friend "oldzilla" when wishing a fellow "life-experienced" player a happy birthday [

to oldzilla ]).
Yes, there are questionable avatars on this site. We all know this. And even though I personally shake my head at the "wisdom" of the avatar's owner, I have to stick-up for the notion that NONE OF US have any right to say what's a "tasteful" avatar and what's not.
IMHO, the only person who I ever thought had an avatar worthy of me viewing it, was Doug (Smorgass Bored). I always busted-out laughing at his, especially the cat wrapped-up in the blanket like a Dune worm, and his crazy Dune outtakes from the movie itself.
