Proper form for english billiards?

To any and all who know anything about this game as I am still very much and newbie at it.

What is the proper stance?

Currently I am adopting a snooker stance for pots and long shots, however for in offs and cannons I stand more upright. I find that the upright stance allows me to see the path of the cue ball better.

Is this correct or will it hurt me in the long run?

good question and i've seen so little of the game i cant remember any information either.

i'd imagine it's kind of a dilemma lol. the game is a cross between 3 cushion where the most upright stance is used, and snooker, where the lowest stance is used.

I always get low on all shots. Doing anything else just feels weird to me now.
