Proposition Bet for Strong Players

Those who've pointed out that, in a game situation, you might not play this draw shot are correct, but this is a proposition bet, not a game situation. In a game situation, the three ball three rails into the nine or the safety are probably both superior choices to the draw shot.

For those who are going to give the draw into the nine ashot, note that the shot can be made with or wthout english. Of course, the less you aim into the long rail, the more english you'll need. I've always prefer to use a little english in attemtping it.

Yeah, I curve every shot, so the english would be My choice also.

The way I understand this shot was put, the safety is not an option, and the 9 was the true object.offensive minded.

CC, you understood it correctly, but you could play trhe nine or play to run out the rack. One poster noted that you could play the two rail shot on the three while sending the cue ball into the cluster. That's one approach to the run out, and there are a few others, but for me, the draw shot still seems the best chance to win the proposition bet.

SJM, i've been trying this shot...............and dammit, i'm either hitting this shot too good or not good enough.

i'm making the ball, drawing back to the end rail, and the spin is taking the ball to the long rail about a foot behind the 9 ball and into the middle of the table............

am i using too much spin? or am i not drawing the ball enough? i didnt have time to keep shooting it to figure it out. but i did the same thing quite a few times, although i have found a new way to get to the center of the table from that position.
