Purchasing a pool table.

I was wondering about the elephant balls pool tables. Are they a very good made table or am I wasting my time with that brand? Anybody with a comment or suggestions?

Wasting your time. I bought a set for fun since my aramith sp's hadnt came in yet. They were around 180 bucks and I was just going to use them and return them when my aramiths were in. They sucked imo. The cueball attracts chalk and it doesnt just wipe off like aramiths. They dont roll nearly as well. They look 'purdy' but they dont hold a candle to aramith super pros.

edit: they also skid a lot too which could be from the cueball keeping the chalk on it causing friction on the hit.

Thank you for your imput on balls. I was wondering about tables. I have a set of Super aramith pro balls. You can't beat Saluc

no. I shoot on a leisure bay 1 inch. Gandy's at one pool hall, brusnwicks at another pool hall, and billybobs-fried-chicken-and-potatoes brand pool tables at another one.

Shot on a lot of tables but never EB

Also thinking about a table

My greatest concern is humidity. The only space for it would be in the basement & during major storms, there are small puddles of water in the basement. Would this prevent me from maintaining a table?

In my tiny town, my only current option is a local bar with drunks, speakers large enough for psychological warfare, and bumbling bimbos stumbling into me as I am about to pull the trigger. Limited opportunities for drills on a coin table too even when no one is playing..
