Purple Cocobolo

Woah, I had Camphor Burl come in the other day and i thought it smelled great. maybe i shouldnt be smelling these without knowing how dangerous they are.
Dalbergia rosewoods are the worst I think. I also like the smell of camphor and don't believe it's as bad for you. And most of the toxic ones smell good too. Tulipwood is very fragrant. But it makes me itch.

From what i have seen for descriptions of woods, Some of them you can darken just by leaving in the sun for 2-3 hours. I think that is also meant as unfinished.

Edit- I just noticed the rules. I am not a cue maker- should i remove my comments from the thread? or is it not that serious?

No problems for about 5 years and then one morning I woke up after working with some the night before...

Yikes!

I must still be (luckily) in my probationary period.
Have of course "heard" is could cause "allergies" - had no idea!
That's scary.
I'll work safer going forward. Hate wearing airsupply mask, but looks like it's better than the possible alternative.

Thank you for posting that.

PS of the exotics, Pau Ferro sets me off. sinuses close up, chest gets tight, etc.
Most others, no effect not common with breathing sawdust anyway. :)

many of us are not that prolific.
Even Joey has a day job, i hear?
You are forming up a wood collection, so it could only be a matter of time......
Plus your posts are interesting.

Thank you for that. I've only been in the forums for a few months. so i'm just being careful and learning the ins and outs of this place.
Posting and adding to discussions i think is a good thing.
