Some questions on purple heart shafts. What is the overall view of them? Are they more prone to staying straight then maple? Are there any extra ordinary problems with them I should know about before turning?. Anything I should be known before turning? Do you use the same schedule as with maple for turning? Finally how about finishing. Do they require a finish or can they they just be burnished like maple? Seems like they could be splintery. Thank you all in advance.
