noone's pulled the trigger... just curious... worth the price for a conversion?

Murf:confused:
Looks like someone found that trigger....(is that Murray Tucker????)......and it looks like it was in good shape.

I hear it's harder to do a "conversion" on a cue that's already a 2 piece....but for some of the purpleheart nuts around here, the extra efforts would be worth it.

300 bones isn't too bad, IMO. A touch more than a couple others I've seen...but not by much.

I'ts a late-60's or early '70s purpleheart (haven't been able to verify date of that label) and seems to be in good condition, but I emailed the seller asking about the points being even and any damage, and twice got run-around responses ignoring my question. I hope it turns out to be nice!

Yes it was me. I got the cue today and it is in fantastic shape. Way too nice to cut up for a conversion. It needs a new collar and the brass joint needs polishing but other than that it is a peach. I'm going to restore it and make a playing shaft for it. It'a a very nice and unexpected addition to my collection.

good to hear murray.... a good ebay find :-)
post some pics when you get it done...

Sweet and as much as I like those old cues it is good to see a nice guy like you get ahold of one. With a baseball bat like that do you think you will do your bottleneck tapper on the butt? What the heck make it all it can be. You were a pleasure to talk to Murry. Your cues are players for sure! Is your wait up to a year yet?

I'm not going to cut it at all. It is just going to get polished up a bit.

Nice talking with you also. Basic cues are running over a year. I've had people waiting on fancy cues for close to three now. I hope to be doing pointed cues and taking a limited amount of orders again the first of the year.
