It would be a lot cheaper for you to just build a half spliced PH Titlist tribute. If it must be full spliced though, have John Davis build the blank. Aside from being cheaper, you could use a nice piece of curly or birdseye maple, and you won't destroy a piece of history in the process. JMO Good luck with your project.

Mr Hoppe - I'm aware the purpleheart Titlists are more expensive, and having John Davis do a blank has built in history (I've got one he did). Interested in the statement "...destroying a piece of history". I'd be interested in hearing what drives that...
 
Skip weston can build you a cue that will look exactly like a pph titlist for around 1000$ it will prob be the best playing cue you could own.. He does a fantastic job. All recuts and in a very timely fashion
 
I appreciate the responses, guys. I believe I've identified a path forward & prefer to follow that commitment.
