and watched myself shoot some shots to see what i was doing. to my surprise, i am not dropping the elbow very much at all nowadays. i did notice, however, on the draw shots i was dropping it slightly more than regular shots.
but.........based upon the latest thread, and since not one instructor said NO ELBOW DROP - PERIOD, and since most pros have a slight drop, that my slight drop is ok. it was much improved from the very first video segment Scott Lee filmed of me last saturday when it looked like i was pitching horseshoes.
Tom Rossman recommended a mirror to me a few years ago, saying it gave immediate feedback over a video system. he was more interested, i believe, in where the tip was going after impact as i recall.
