pyramid ?

I have been looking through Longoni's site and was wondering is "Pyramid" a game, a type of cue like a 'pj' or what? All answers are appreciated. http://www.longonicues.com/cues/pyramid cues.htm
This is a line of cues for Pyramid which is a game. Ir is called Russian Pyramid, note the RP index in many of the models. You wouldn't want to use them in any other game as they are longer, heavier and have wider tip as compared to pool cues.
Longoni is famous for making one of the best production cues for Pyramid. But most players use custom made by Russian cuemakers. Visit www.variant-billiard.ru and look at the pictures. These cues are masterpieces.

If you to a youtube search for Stalev, there are some clips of him playing Pyramid. Interesting game. It's like a cross between bowling and pool.

Russian pyramid!!

Played with 15 white billiard sized balls, and a dark redish black 'cue' ball. Object of the game is to score 8 points.

Point can be scored by pocketing a ball, much the same way as pocket billiards, or caroming the cue ball into a pocket.
When you carom the cue ball in, you get to take off one of the whites off, of your choosing. (usually one on or near a rail)

Difficulty. Pockets are 2 to 4 millimeters larger than the balls. We're talking T I G H T pockets.
