Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach, Virginia will be holding its annual Spring Open 9-Ball Championships May 7/8/9, 2004. The players meeting, deadline and draw will be May 7th at 6:00p.m. and play will begin at 7:00p.m. The field is open to 64 players (top 32 pro's can not play), $100.00 entry fee. Tournament format is a race to 7, winner breaks, double elimination. The tournament will be played on our Gold Crown III's with 860 Simonis cloth, centennial balls with the blue circle cue ball. Q-Master Billiards will be open 24 hours a day from Friday til Sunday.

Prize Fund Payout: (Based on 64 players)
1) $2000.00 2) $1500.00 3) $1000.00 4) $700.00 5-6) $500.00 7-8) $ 300.00 9-12) $200.00 13-16) $ 100.00

...and Planet-pool is having a tournament at Great Slates in Cambridge that same weekend. Their website is Planet-pool.com. They had 147 players in the first event, and 121 in their second event. That doesn't leave alot of players left over to play down there. I don't know if you guys are trying to conflict or not, but their schedule has been posted for about two months or so.

Spring Open Dates

Ted, it's nice to hear from you again. When we had looked at those dates a while back(6-9 weeks ago) we had not seen any other tourny posted for those dates, and we didn't check for any changes in the schedules, so we made the call and booked our event for that weekend. So we're going to keep it as it is, come hell or hurricanes or any other national disasters.
