Hey guys. I have a Phase II QCTP that came with my Clausing when I bought it. I am looking for some of the holders that go in the tool post. I don't know if any of you know where I can get some, (been looking on ebay) but one thing I am not clear on is the size I guess. There is AXA, BXA, CXA and I just want to be sure before I spend.

Thanks fellas,

SK

Hey SK,
You need to figure out what qctp you have. Best price for me is from Machine Tool Online www.machinetoolonline.com.
Called them up and talk to Matt. I also have a Phase II qctp and ordered some stuff from him, awesome guy. I paid like $29.95 for a Bxa 250-201s.

Thanks, Tony.... I will get back on that, but also, can anyone throw in what's up behind the numbers too? ie. series 100, 200??

SK, think that aloris and dorian have sizing charts somewhere on there website. The letter sizing sequence seems to be standard regardless of the manufacuters.
So basically if you have a knock off BXA then it will be the same as a true BXA. Think that the series 100, 200 etc. are some of the overseas suppliers terms for american made letter sequences of which they usually cross reference for replacement tool holders. hope this helps. FYI, ebay usually has sizing charts for posts and holders within the listings...good place to get educated.

AXA=100
BXA=200
CXA=300

All brands are compatible with each other, including the knock offs. They also all fit on piston or wedge type posts.

You should be spending no more than $14 for a knockoff on eBay for the standard AXA turning holder. I think some guys are even selling them for $11, but it's been a while since I bought mine...

Buy a lot of them!
