I recently spent purchased a ridiculously priced qpod chalk holder at the sbe. It came with cuel chalk. Does anyone have any experience with cuel chalk? What did you find it compared to?

Cuel is a brand owned by www.billardpro.de and they have several products, including chalk.

It is a more then decent chalk, comparable in quality to Blue Diamond or Predator chalk.

So it seems that a web search for that chalk led me to your site LOL. Is that stuff available in US? I'm guessing shipping it over to US will triple the cost of the chalk from your site.

Blue Diamond and Predator are fairly different, Perdator is closer to Masters for grit and stick, Blue Diamond is a smoother and almost cakes on the tip instead of coating it with powder.

I used Predator Chalk and Grit wise its close to Masters but as far as it sticking to the tip its no where close. I used to love Masters but if i don't chalk within a couple hits I will miscue if i use english. Which isn't the case with Predator I can shoot multiple racks without chalking. But I chalk every time so it don't matter to me but it sticks Far better than masters.

I used to use Master but I decided to try Blue Diamond, I really like it. It leaves a large tip diameter blue dot on the QB after the break so it adheres well. I also noticed that the Predator chalk seemed more gritty when i tried it, I like the Blue Diamond better. I also noticed the light green Master chalk is much less gritty and sticks better than the blue, Im not sure why that is. I would be happy with the green but it really contrasts with my new tournament green Simonis. I would probably like Kamui but I will not pay $27.00 for a single cube of chalk, call me a tightwad if you want.

After trying them all I prefer Magic Chalk, with Blue Diamond a close second. Predator is same as Masters to me.

My wife won a Q-Pod at SBE. I think the Cuel chalk it came with is pretty similar to the Blue Diamond I normally use, except it cakes on the tip a little more IMO.

Thanks, as a regular blue diamond user I felt pretty much the same way when I applied the cuel too, just never heard of it.

Magic Chalk is best, hands down....I have about 60 cubes of it so I am all set for a while....pretty hard to come by these days

I second that, got any to spare for a fellow New Englander? My son lost at least two of my cubes hehe.

Hi,

I am sorry I did not see your question earlier.
To be safe, doubledavecues.com is my site, billardpro is not.

We ship worldwide on request, but yes, shipping to the US would be costly.

As to the quality, I know Blue Diamond and Predator are quite different but both are,
imo high quality chalk. So is Cuel.

I took the Cuel out of the Q-Pod and replaced it with BD. A few days later I got sick of chasing the damn thing around the table, so I put the Cuel up on the rail as well. By the end of the day, I was walking past the Q-Pod to get to the cube of Cuel. Lol

I don't have any firm convictions about chalk, and I'm certainly not a good enough player to say any chalk could effect my game in a way I could tell, but I just like the way the Cuel goes on. I seem to get better coverage on my UltraSkin Pro tip, and it seems to last longer than the BD. It may be all in my head, but it's nice to know where I can score a gross of the stuff for not much more than Masters costs.
