QPOD & QCLIP Review

OK, First let me say this set-up probably isn't for everybody. It isn't a nessary piece of equipment but then either is a Justis Case or a Searing Cue. It does fit the bill for those players that can enjoy a quality piece of equipment. I purchased both from Seyberts whose service is second to none. ( more on that later ) the first QPOD I ordered was a Tigereye w/silver frame. Upon first inspection it seemed nice but didn't have the patterns one would expect of a $200.00 piece of jewelry. What was even worse was it was CRACKED on one side. I tried to contact QPOD but recieved NO RESPONCE! I then contacted Seyberts who corrected the problem immediately with an exchange. Great service! The second QPOD was everything I expected and I'm very happy with the quality. I then ordered a QCLIP from Seyberts in brown. Service once again was exceptional. The QCLIP comes in black or brown. It's not a deal breaker but the QCLIP has gold around brown leather, the QPOD is Tigereye ( brown w/ silver frame ) so it doesn't match. The QCLIP comes in a relabeled QPOD box with the magnet to install in the bottom, but also included was a Nylon Washer? I have no idea what it's for as there are are no instruction included (like the QPOD has) and you can't get an answer for any question from QPOD! One would think that for close to $300.00 it would at least match! Once again I tried to contact QPOD but NO ANSWER! I had recieved (2) QPOD sticky patches with my initial order & was interested in purchasing additional patches. Once again I tried to contact QPOD but..... NO ANSWER for the third time! Not one to give up easly I tried to contact them again ( through QPOD's contact link provided on their Web page) and, NO ANSWER after 3 months of trying. In conclusion, if you are interested in I nice (but over priced & mismatched) chalk holder QPOD's does have quality products available. If after the sale service is important to you DONT RELY ON QPOD as you won't recieve any. Seyberts on the other hand really picked up QPOD's slack & is a real pleasure to do business with. I can't imagin what the outcome would have been if I only had QPOD to deal with.

I have a similar setup, lucky for me I never really needed to contact qpod directly, have a shop here who settled everything for me :)

Anyway the white washer I assume is for inserting underneath your chalk to prop it up once the chalk wears out. Well at least that's what I am using it for. Though when it wears even thinner I have to insert a couple of coins underneath.

Some of those QPods are pretty cool looking.

My friend and I sell these custom sterling silver ones:
