Sharky's Billiards in Davenport, Iowa is holding an 8-Ball Tournament on Saturday, May 14th, 2011. It is minutes from I-74 and I-80, located at 2902 East Kimberly Road Davenport, Iowa 52807. We will be taking sign-ups in advance at (563)359-RACK(7225)

$1,000 ADDED MONEY(based on 64 players)
NO MASTERS
$$$$$ CALCUTTA $$$$$

Start time is 12:00 p.m.(Noon) and will be played on 7ft Valley bar tables.
The entry fee will be $15.00 and Greens fees will be $8.00, tables will be open prior to Tournament for practice. Limited to 128 players and you will play a race to three on both sides. World Standardized rules. Masters will be based on player lists and notability.

Just wanted to give a little bumpin, we are around a month out and have generated tons of interest. This should fill up fast the closer we get. Not many chances at this kind of payout for non-master players.

I would play if it were a race to 7, 9, 11.
Race to three is too often for the lucky.
Tournament today seem to be about quantity rather than quality.

Roger-Dont worry there will be more long tourneys coming up with longer races and big added money. The race to three is absolutely a crap shoot, but that makes it a fun format especially with no masters.

It gives us regular players a chance to win some real money and have a good time doing it.

We hope to have more events in the near future. We will be posting them here of course so just be on the look-out for our threads. I would love to be able to put on a ton of events, just have to get the players to respond in order to do so.

If this proves a success, there will be more to follow.
