Qualifier Update Thread for Long Island

Hey everyone I will be posting match updates as they happen from today's qualifier in Long Island.

We have from what I can tell 12 strong players coming down today.

I will do my best to keep everyone updated on the scores and matchups.

We get underway at 11. I wish we could stream but the room is so new the cameras aren't even up yet.
 
Opening round matches are

Steve Kurtz vs. Dave Hackett
Mike Fingers vs. Jude Rosenstock
Chris Lynch vs. Howard Clark
Bob Madenjian vs. George Lindeberg
Tom Walters vs. Holden Chin.
 
Will do first round matches are almost over i think they are just passing the 50 point mark on most of them.
 
Steve Kurtz is currently winning his match but just scratched off a beautiful break shot. Dave Hackett is a solid player and Steve is fighting for every point he is getting. Score at last count was 56 to 44
 
Steve fell to Dave Hackett 100-58

Jude Lost to Mike Fingers 100- 47

Chris Lynch beat howard clark - 100- 41
 
Holden Chin just lost to Bob Madenjian. Bob is playing great. Jude is playing Steve Kurtz on the loser side right now.

Mike Fingers is playing Dave hackett right now on the winners side and the winner of that match will play Chris Lynch.
 
Ok guys Steve Kurtz has gone 2 and out and lost to Jude in a nail biter match. 100-91.

Jude will be playing George Lindeberg in the next round.
 
Ouch for Steve, better luck at the next qualifier. Rooting for Jude and Chris Lynch on their upcoming match.

Mike Fingers has won his match against dave hackett and is currently playing chris lynch.

Tom Walters is waiting on the losers side for the jude rosenstock george lineberg match winner.
 
Jude Rosenstock just beat George L, and is about to play Tommy Walters, Holden is about to play Dave Hackett.

Mike Fingers is currently playing Chris Lynch.
 
Chris Lynch won against Mike Fingers and is about to go into the winners side finals against Bob Madenjian.

Jude Rosenstock is playing Tommy Walters, and Dave Hackett and Holden Chin are playing now.
 
It has come to light that Tommy Walters has been issued an invite to the World Straight Pool Championships. We as a room and I as a tournament director have refunded his money and have terminated his entry in our qualifier. Jude has moved on to the next round against Mike Fingers on the losers side.

Holden Chin defeated Dave Hackett and is currently waiting in the semi finals of the losers side.

What? He just got a call? #@**^%!
If he didn't he's an bum for pulling a move like that.
 
It is not Mr. Walters fault as no one addressed this with him from Dragon Promotions when he received the invite. However when he entered the tournament this should have been brought to my attention.
