Nicely-figured curly maple forearm. Sectioned ebony butt sleeve. Western/Sheridan tooled leather wrap. Flat-faced 5/16x18 steel joint.
The shaft does not appear to be original, but it’s not impossible that it could be. It does fit flush at the joint.
The shaft has been finished-over with clear coat. It is straight.
Butt seems to roll straight, but it’s hard to say for certain because of the deep tooling in the wrap.
It does play straight.
Hairline in the butt sleeve… Very common for old ebony. It does not affect soundness or function in any way.
Butt: 28.5”. 15.1 oz. .85” at the joint.
Shaft: 29”. 4.8 oz.. Will need a new tip.
