Question about a Joss cue

Hello pool shooters, I'm new here from the midwest...Looks to be a great site. I have a lot to catch up on.

I'm curious about this cue, I have searched a few web sites and catalogs and haven't been able to find one with the similar butt. I have seen those points before, but not with that butt style. So, I turn to you guys for any assistance possible...just want to know what year(range) it was made? Could there be a possibility it could be limited production?

Photos of the butt sleeve/cap, bumper, and joint would be helpful.

The forearm and the thin white butt cap suggests late 90's. The forearm is common for JOSS.

I agree, mid to late 90's. That pearl cross/snowflake design was common in his designs of this era.

find a cue dealer who has catalogs from a variety of wholesaler/distributors and you might have better luck putting a model number on your cue....

for some reason, Joss seems to sell slightly different cues to most of its distributors,,,

three places I buy from have different joss cues (and some models in common),,,one place I did buy from got mad at me because a certain model/design was theirs and theirs alone,,,they wouldn't send a photo of it to me because it was so "exclusive",,,chapped their hide when I emailed a scanned photo of their exclusive cue to them (got it out of another company's catalog...LOL).... j :p

is there a serial number stamped into the metal on the joint?

and is there a joss logo somewhere on the cue? a pic of that would deffinatly help...

i would believe the cue is atleast 99 to present..

also.. you can email photo's to Dan janes...

their website is www.josscues.com , he can probably tell you anything you need to know about it..

I agree.:)

Thanks for all the replys.:) I tried to send him pics when I first got the stick, but at the time they weren't opening attachments if I recall correctly. I really bummed me out! What is the substitute that they use (like in this cue) that looks like mother of pearl?

Thanks again!

I will have to get a few pics of my other cue...it's a sneaky pete, and I think it was similar to what you are saying.
