Thoughts
When you say luggqage style, do you mean larger
soft cases, or the box cases?
I do not care for box cases, no pockets, have to put
chalk right next to shafts. I had one once, and did
not care for it at all.
Larger soft cases usually just have a piece of material
that holds the shaft and butts, and finding one padded
enough can be a problem. Also finding one with adequate
pockets can be a problem, and a place to put your jump butt.
Hard cases can be good or bad. Some are stiff as a board,
make sure you get all you want in pockets. Think where that
jump butt is going, chalk, cue holder, etc.. Some hard cases
only accept cues one way, so you need to know that and if
that is acceptable.
I like a hard case, but I like the feel of a soft case. I bought
the Action Elite ELN35 3 x 5 slimline soft/hard case. It was
a compromise for both of my tastes. I like it very much. Has
tubes, shafts and butts go either way, no JP problem, butts
are spring loaded (which I like a lot), 2 pockets, small and
large, with own zipper and section in large pocket for jump butt.
Better looking in person than net pics (but rather plain looking).
Butts have their section with tubes, Shafts (soft side) have their
section with tubes. Got it off

for 79.20 with FREE shipping. It is also not a case that someone
would target to steal, IMO. Real good handle, and wide padded
shoulder strap. It does not feel like a piece of wood when carrying
it over your shoulder.
