Question about Everest tip

where would I find one?

Seybert's and Pooldawg both carry them.

I have never had a sniper or everst miscue with this thing handy. It is the only tool you need for layered tips. If they glaze up just ruff them up a bit with this.

Half way down on the page. You won't ever need another tip tool again; if you used layered tips you don't even need a tapper or a tip pick!

I found something that beats it hands down.................the sandman shaper. For 15-20 and it has a lifetime warranty. Everytime I pull mine out I get comments on how badass it is. I have had mine 6 years, and it still looks like new.

I just bought the sandman shaper from Seybert's. It was 19.95 and USPS Priority was cheaper the Fed Ex ground which kind of surprised me.

Na, I have been using USPS Priority for the last year, and it has been beating DHL, UPS, and FedEX for the last year. Maybe they had to in order to compete or something. My wife works for UPS and gives me heck for shipping USPS. I tell her that if they start giving her a discount we will ship UPS. LOL

The Sandman works great. It is like having a continuious amount of sand paper. It also doesn't slip out of the holder like sand paper. Just stick it in your bag and keep it with you all the time. You will have people asking to borrow it in no time cause it is truely a great product. I haven't used anything else in 6 years. If your tip gets glazed over at all, hit it with the sand man very lightly and the glaze is gone, and the shape stays the same. It is all I used on my everest and sniper tips.

Hey Brady,

I got a new P2 with the Everest. If yours is like mine, you may have to change it soon. After about 3 weeks, the tip got really hard and glazed over. I miscued every 3rd shot and conditioning the tip didn't help. I finally changed it and put on a sniper.

I'm glad you mentioned this because lately I've been having more miscues and struggling with draw with my 314-2 w/ Everest tip.

I didn't know I wasn't supposed to do this, but I borrowed a friends Tip Pick and Lord have Mercy!, the thing sprung to life like when I first bought the cue! I was lightly using a little sandpaper every 6-8 hours of play just to remove the glaze a bit. I've never had to seriously shape the thing since I got it, but man, it's too bad you're not supposed to pick the tip because I couldn't believe how well it worked.

Did you try picking the tip before you changed over?

From what I understand you can pik the tip just don't twist it while piking. I have piked other tips in the past (moori & sniper) and have not had a problem (yet). I think you just have to make sure not to twist and seperate any layers maybe.
